RN - PRN - Medical/Surgical

Role Overview Provides direct and indirect patient care in a healthcare setting, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to deliver high-quality services while respecting patient autonomy and dignity. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization, along with other assigned tasks. Key Responsibilities Accurately assesses patients based on their medical conditions.Administers medications as prescribed and provides age-appropriate care.Develops and evaluates patient and family teaching plans, including psychosocial support and discharge planning.Performs treatments, assists physicians with procedures, and demonstrates technical skills.Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective care.Prioritizes patient needs and promotes safety by minimizing risks.Engages in lifelong learning to maintain professional competence. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of one year of nursing experience.Graduate of an accredited nursing program.Computer literacy required.Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN); BLS certification within 14 days of hire.Preferred certifications include ACLS/PALS.
