RN-Patient Placement Center

Responsibilities

• Assesses bed availability for all areas of the hospital.
• Proficient in electronic bed management systems.
• Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery.
• Provides clinical leadership.
• Sustains lifelong learning.
• Captures assigned goals.
• Captures patient admissions and transfers.
• Affirms patient needs by assessing medical conditions, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
• Collaborates with healthcare providers to ensure appropriate care and treatment.
• Ensures accurate documentation of all necessary patient information and its communication to appropriate healthcare providers.
• Manages patient flow throughout the hospital to prevent delays or bottlenecks.
• Serves as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to facilitate effective communication and meet patients' needs.
• Maintains compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to patient privacy and safety.
• Follows the escalation process involving communication with Administration and House Supervisors.
• Facilitates transfer back processes between entities.
• Monitors and coordinates care for emergent/urgent conditions (STEMI) through Pulsara.
• Enters orders timely for Strokes and STEMI's.
• Assists facilities with problem-solving related to patient movement/orders.

Requirements

• Minimum Required: RN and 1 year of acute care experience.
• PREFERRED/DESIRED: Knowledge of Baptist hospitals and specialty units, EPIC experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• PREFERRED/DESIRED: Training in preferred/ desired fields.
