Patient Placement RN

Employment Type: Part time, casual / PRN (fill-in as needed)

Shift: Rotating, 12-hour shifts (7 am – 7 pm, weekdays and weekends)

About the role

The Patient Placement Case Manager coordinates the placement of all admissions (elective and emergent) and transfers to MCHS in accordance with clinical standards and guidelines. This role prioritizes and optimizes patient flow throughout the MCHS network, facilitates patient entry from other healthcare facilities, and supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Mount Carmel Health System.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, prioritize, and optimize patient flow across the MCHS network.
• Facilitate patient entry into MCHS from external healthcare facilities.
• Ensure admissions and transfers align with clinical standards and guidelines.

Requirements

• Graduate from a school of nursing; baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Five years of clinical nursing experience; Critical Care or Emergency Room experience desirable.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Outlook, Epic, and standard desktop systems.
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
• Adaptability to shifting tasks without loss of efficiency.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and adjust workload as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
