About the Role
Provide safe, comprehensive patient care in an outpatient setting, utilizing the nursing process across diverse age groups. Offer clinical leadership and mentorship to staff, serve as a role model, and assist with patient education. Take on relief charge duties when designated, under supervision, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with tests, procedures, and treatments
- Support patient data processing, documentation, and triage
- Ensure accurate medical records and follow-up on lab results
- Respond to emergencies and assess patient needs
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and carry out physician orders
- Participate in staff orientation and training
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and monitor safety protocols
- Mentor patients to promote self-management and provide educational support
- Promote patient safety through adherence to policies and proactive improvements
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Current RN licensure in NM or reciprocal jurisdiction
- CPR/BLS certification within 30 days
- Experience in diverse patient care; bilingual skills beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy physical tasks, including moving objects or patients
- Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures
