RN OR, Charge Preceptor - Center Pointe Surgery Center (Outpatient)

About the role

This position is a combination of direct patient care, shift supervision/management (charge), and education (preceptor) roles with responsibility for a unit during a clinical shift.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily activities and distribution of work in area during scheduled shift
• Acts as a professional educator and resource for new employees, demonstrating clinical expertise and competence
• Provides care and/or services to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Sets priorities based on the situation at hand

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations
• Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
• Preferred BSN degree
• Two (2) years recent experience in current clinical specialty (i.e., critical care, surgical services, diabetes education, radiology, etc.)
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units
