Role Overview: The Perioperative Registered Nurse provides direct patient care across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations during the surgical process. They assess safety concerns, collaborate with the surgical team, and advocate for patients to ensure optimal outcomes. The nurse may also lead orientation, educational programs, and manage supplies and equipment. Responsibilities: Facilitate safe surgical procedures, monitor patient status, intervene as needed, and support staff training. Ensure a safe and efficient perioperative environment, contributing to patient safety and quality care delivery. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an approved nursing school; BSN preferredValid IL RN license and CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart AssociationTwo years of perioperative RN experience preferredBasic computer skills Key Attributes: Strong clinical knowledge, patient advocacy, teamwork, and safety focus. Ability to manage supplies, support staff, and contribute to educational initiatives.
