About the Role

A registered nurse specializing in perioperative care, providing advanced nursing leadership and patient care in complex cardiovascular, thoracic, and surgical cases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate care effectiveness.
• Prioritize and coordinate care for multiple patients, delegating tasks to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians to address needs and resolve care-related issues.
• Mentor and teach less-experienced staff, serving as a clinical resource and consultant.
• Apply evidence-based practices, stay current with surgical nursing advancements, and initiate process improvements.
• Maintain safety, adhere to infection control protocols, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• At least one year of advanced surgical experience.
• Valid RN license and BLS certification in the respective state.
