Job Summary
RN - OB-Obstetrics at Acute Talented Medical Solutions, working in an In-Office contract position in Delano, CA. The position is an EPIC BACKFILL, with a Day Shift schedule of 36 or 48 hours per week (rate provided for 36 hours). Floating to other units in Bakersfield is required. The shift includes 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks.

Focused on growth and technological expertise since 1974, the facility is a full-service community and regional teaching hospital in Delano, CA. It serves 10 rural Central California cities with primary and specialty care services. The position involves delivering coordinated nursing care, supervising nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines, and providing health information to patients and families.
Responsibilities
- Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
- Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
- Develops a plan prescribing interventions to achieve outcomes.
- Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Evaluates progress toward achieving outcomes.
- Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation.
- Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care.
- Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members.
- Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.
- Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care.
- Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; acute care facility experience preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required; CPR certification or BLS certification from an approved vendor required; AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS required; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS required; S.T.A.B.L.E Certification (STABLE) required; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS required; Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required.
