RN Nurse Practitioner - Neurocritical Care

Role Overview: Provides expert clinical care in the Neurocritical Care Unit, working closely with intensivists and staff to perform comprehensive physical assessments, including psychological evaluations, for diverse neurosurgical and neurological patients. Key Responsibilities: Develops, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on data synthesis and evidence-based practices, interpreting diagnostic results.Demonstrates proficiency in technical procedures such as central venous catheters, arterial lines, dialysis catheters, and lumbar punctures.Provides patient and family education, counseling, and management, including preventive health measures.Engages in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research to enhance care performance.Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and resource utilization.Utilizes EMR effectively to support patient care and serves as a resource for staff expertise.Supports staff development through education and identifies systemic issues impacting patient outcomes.Coordinates patient flow and resource use through interdepartmental collaboration.Maintains professional growth, updates clinical skills, and ensures credentialing requirements are met.Performs additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.
