RN Nurse Practitioner - Neurocritical Care

Seeking a Neurocritical Care Nurse Practitioner to work collaboratively with intensivists and NSICU staff. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive physical exams, developing and evaluating patient care plans, and interpreting diagnostic results. The role requires proficiency in technical skills such as central lines, arterial lines, and lumbar punctures, along with providing patient and family education, referrals, and counseling. The practitioner will participate in quality improvement initiatives, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, optimize EMR use, and serve as a resource for staff. They will also identify system-wide issues affecting outcomes and facilitate efficient patient flow. Candidates must maintain professional growth and current credentials, with a preferred background in neurology or neurocritical care. Minimum qualifications include a Master's or Doctoral degree as a nurse practitioner, with certification in nurse practitioner practice, BLS, ACLS, and eligibility for prescription privileges. Preferred skills include computer literacy and ENLS certification. No formal supervision responsibilities are involved.
