About the role

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Women’s and Children’s units, which include high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment. Our leadership team fosters learning, mentoring, and professional growth. Relocation assistance is offered to candidates moving 50+ miles from their current residence.

NICU Opportunities

  • Patient Population: 22 weeks GA - Term
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1-4
  • Number of Beds: 83 (including an 8-bed Tiniest Texans unit, average daily census of 50)
  • State Designated Level IV NICU Care with 600+ annual admissions
  • 24/7 in-house Neonatologist and NNP coverage
  • Neonatal transport team and Neonatal Internship program
  • Transition to Practice residency and support for specialty certification
  • Training and advancement opportunities
  • Current day shift waitlist: 3 years due to high retention

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level IV NICU
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including neonatologists and nurse practitioners
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities
  • Participate in unit-based councils and shared governance to improve patient outcomes

Requirements

  • At least 18 months of RN experience in a NICU, Level III or higher
  • Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
  • Active RN license
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required within 30 days of hire)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification (required within 30 days of hire)

Schedule

  • Full-time, night shift: Three 12-hour shifts (7p-7a) per week
  • Weekend requirements: Five weekend shifts every six weeks for newer nurses (Saturday or Sunday night)
