We are a fast-paced 12-bed ICU managing a complex patient population, including both medical and surgical patients. Medical patients include severe sepsis, respiratory failure requiring advanced airway management, GI bleeding requiring massive blood transfusion, kidney failure requiring CRRT, and multi-organ failure with invasive and noninvasive monitoring. Surgical patients include post-op cases from procedures such as new tracheostomies, abdominal, urological, and vascular surgeries. Nurses must be able to manage high-acuity patient teams, assist in bedside procedures, and travel with patients for procedures and testing off the unit.

Troy Hospital has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best in the nation for orthopedics and urological services and ranked #3 on Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals list. This state-of-the-art center provides advanced specialty and routine care with an emphasis on patient satisfaction and medical advancement.
