RN Medical Surgical
The Registered Nurse at North Shore Medical Center, Inc., a division of Mass General Brigham, manages all aspects of the nursing process and delivers patient and family-centered care. This role requires a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a BLS certification. While experience can be considered in lieu of a degree, a bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manages the nursing process and provides patient and family-centered care
- Requests and uses governing and administrative resources, technological and support systems, and multidisciplinary clinical experts to manage and deliver quality, cost-effective patient care
- Performs essential duties within the scope of nursing, requiring the ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of the patients served in the assigned department
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- BLS certification
- Certifications in CPR, PALS, ACLS, and BLS may be required upon hire for specific patient care units
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred

Performing this job successfully within the scope of nursing requires the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and to demonstrate any knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients serviced in his/her assigned department.
