RN - Medical ICU Nurse Transition Program - Nights

Role Overview: The RN - Medical ICU Transition Program is designed for experienced inpatient nurses seeking to specialize in Critical Care. Key Responsibilities: Providing professional nursing care following state and hospital policies, employing critical thinking to assess patient conditions, recognizing changes, planning and evaluating care, monitoring progress, and delegating tasks appropriately. The role involves working as part of a team to achieve unit goals. Qualifications & Skills: Requires an Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, Illinois RN licensure, CPR certification, and a minimum of 1 year inpatient RN experience. Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree, ECG monitoring, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale certification, and 2 years of inpatient experience. Program Highlights: The program offers 8-12 weeks of training with a critical care nurse preceptor and 8 weeks of dedicated education, aimed at transitioning nurses into Critical Care roles in ICU settings. Additional Information: Full-time position with a 36-hour week, night shifts (7:00 pm - 7:30 am), and classroom training during day shifts.
