RN - Medical ICU Nurse Transition Program - Nights

Position: RN - Medical ICU Transition Program Role Overview: Provides professional nursing care in critical care settings, utilizing critical thinking to assess patient conditions, recognize changes, plan, evaluate, and document care. Functions as a team member, delegates tasks appropriately, and supports unit goals. Responsibilities: Participates in a structured transition program with 8-12 weeks of precepted training and 8 weeks of dedicated education. Offers safe, evidence-based care aligned with hospital policies and state regulations. Qualifications: Must hold an Associate or higher degree in Nursing, current Illinois RN licensure, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of inpatient RN experience. Preferred candidates have a Bachelor’s degree, ECG monitoring, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale certifications, and 2 years of experience. Skills: Critical thinking, assessment, delegation, teamwork, and adaptability to fast-paced environments. Key Duties: Deliver high-quality patient care, monitor patient progress, recognize clinical changes, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
