We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care in our Medical/Surgical unit. This is a travel position offering a unique opportunity to expand your professional experience while exploring a new location.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough and accurate patient assessments across all age groups, from Pediatric to Geriatric.
• Deliver competent nursing care, support patient care delivery, and demonstrate proficiency with emergency equipment and procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records, documenting the nursing process and patient progress.
• Uphold professional practice standards, adhere to policies and procedures, and identify opportunities for growth.
• Respond to patients, families, and coworkers professionally to foster a cooperative care environment, maintaining confidentiality as per HIPAA guidelines.
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, utilizing safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
• Provide individualized patient care based on surgical procedures and anesthesia types, assessing patient reactions and understanding.
• Prioritize and direct patient care based on needs and condition changes.
• Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, performing pre-operative and postoperative assessments.
• Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate Pre Admission Testing orders (specific to PAT RN).

Requirements

• 1 year of experience
• BLS Certification - Required
• RN License - Required

As defined by Occupational Safety/OMS.
