Travel Med/Surg RN

Employment Type: Part time – 12 Hour Night Shift (7:00p-7:30a)

About the Role

FirstChoice – Trinity Health's mobile staffing solution – offers premium compensation and maximum flexibility for experienced Registered Nurses. Assignments are short and long-term throughout the health system, with nationwide and regional opportunities available. This posting is for a 13-week travel assignment in the Med/Surg unit at Trinity Health Chelsea. Premium pay of $2,628 is available only for nurses coming to Michigan from out of state, over 60 miles from home to hospital.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions as needed.
• Demonstrate standard elements of professional practice: assess, identify outcomes/solutions, plan, implement, and evaluate.
• Act independently and appropriately within your license, scope of knowledge, and experience.
• Retain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.
• Minimum of eighteen (18) months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele, and PCU.
• Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical experience for all remaining specialties including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department, and Behavioral Health.
• Required credentials per specialty area (e.g., ACLS, TNCC, etc.).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be obtained through the American Heart Association.

Pay

$2,628 (for eligible out-of-state nurses traveling over 60 miles to the hospital).
