RN - Med/Surg Observation

Role Overview Provides direct and indirect patient care in the assigned setting, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to preserve patient dignity and rights while restoring health when possible. Key Responsibilities Assess patients accurately based on their medical condition.Administer medications as prescribed and perform treatments using nursing knowledge.Provide age-appropriate care and basic self-care activities.Develop and evaluate patient and family teaching plans.Communicate effectively with healthcare team and assist physicians with procedures.Address psychosocial needs and coordinate with social services for discharge planning.Practice cost-effective care, ensure patient safety, and prioritize care efficiently.Engage in lifelong learning to stay current in nursing practices. Qualifications & Skills Graduation from an accredited nursing program.Computer literacy.RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.Preferred: ACLS/PALS certifications.
