An Acute Care Medical/Surgical/Pediatric Unit (Med/Surg/Peds) Registered Nurse is a self-motivated professional who acts as a support and resource person in the care of patients before or after surgery, during recovery, during acute illness, and during swing bed hospital stays. They are responsible for the assessment, coordination, implementation, delegation, and evaluation of the delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care. The nurse functions in structured care settings described as geographic and/or situational environments where the policies and procedures for provision of health care are established. The Registered Nurse has acquired or will acquire knowledge and develop proficiency in caring for individuals on the Medical/Surgical/Pediatric unit and relative to the ages of patients served.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Registered nurse currently licensed to practice professional nursing by the Montana State Board of Nursing.
- One year of Med/Surg experience is preferred.
- BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS Certification optional.
