• Weekend rotation and holiday commitment

Unit Description

4E: A 29-bed telemetry-capable Medical-Surgical unit focusing on oncology and comfort care. Common diagnoses include acute kidney injury (AKI), COPD, pneumonia, and respiratory failure. Nurses administer chemotherapy and provide specialized oncology care while ensuring patient comfort and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Management of patient care during a designated timeframe
• Coordination and evaluation of care
• Teaching and delegation of patient activities to healthcare team members
• Utilization of the nursing process and therapeutic environment

Requirements

• Associates degree in Nursing required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years if not already held
• Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required
• BLS certification required
• Previous medical-surgical experience preferred
• Computer proficiency required
• Excellent customer service skills required
