RN - Med/Surg

Location: Manitowoc, WI (on-site at Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital)

About the Role

Plans, organizes, coordinates, and provides direct nursing care for an identified group of patients according to specific standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current unrestricted Wisconsin RN license
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent (required within 30 days of hire for Cancer Center; required within first year for other departments)
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills

Department-Specific Requirements

• Critical Care: At least one year experience in Med/Surg required. Prefer experience in ER and/or CCU nursing. ACLS required within first year of hire.
• Emergency Services: At least one year experience in Med/Surg required. Would consider new graduates with Paramedic experience only. ACLS required within first year of hire. PALS and TNCC preferred.
• Women's and Children's Center: None required. Prefer one year experience in Med/Surg, Pediatric, and/or OB nursing. NRP certification required within first year of hire.
• Specialty Float: At least one year experience in Med/Surg required. ER and/or CCU experience preferred. Will float between CCU, ER, and PACU. ACLS required within first year of hire.
• General Float: At least one year experience in Med/Surg required. Will float between Med/Surg, Surgery Center, and Post Partum.
• Medical/Surgical: None required. One year experience in Medical Surgical nursing preferred.
• Prep & Holding/PACU: Prefer at least two years experience in CCU, Cardiac Rehab, ER, or Surgical Services nursing. ACLS required within first year of hire.
• Surgery Center/Special Procedures: Prefer two years experience in Med/Surg and/or Ortho nursing. Ambulatory Per-Anesthesia nursing certificate and ACLS preferred.
• Surgical Services: Operating Room: None required. Prefer two to three years experience in Surgical/Ortho and/or Operating Room nursing. Operating Room Nurse certificate preferred.
• Cancer Center: A minimum of 2 years of RN experience required. Preferred experience in Med/Surg and/or Oncology.
