RN Manager - Perioperative Services (Evenings)

About the role

The RN Manager, Perioperative Services - Evenings oversees the planning, coordination, and supervision of the Operating Room, Pre-Op, PACU, and Sterile Processing departments during evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Managing staff utilization, budgeting, and process improvements to ensure efficient patient throughput and staff workflows.
• Supervising clinical care and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., DNV, OSHA, AORN).
• Developing physician relationships and supporting departmental operations, including equipment management and survey readiness.
• Leading staff development, performance appraisals, recruitment, and fostering a positive work environment.
• Monitoring quality metrics, patient and staff satisfaction scores, and implementing improvement plans.
• Ensuring departmental policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements are consistently met.
• Participating in budget management, committee meetings, and representing the department as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with Illinois licensure
• BLS certification within 30 days
• National Nursing Certification within 3 years
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Preferred

• 3+ years of perioperative nursing and leadership experience
