RN Manager - L&D, Mother-Baby

About the role

Provides leadership and oversight of a nursing unit, fostering a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment. Collaborates with staff, physicians, and leadership to ensure high-quality care, patient/family satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. Supervises nursing and ancillary personnel, coordinating daily unit activities and staffing needs. Builds a high-performing team through recruitment, coaching, and development, while maintaining standards of care and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conducts rounds, manages patient care plans, resolves operational issues, and ensures effective communication among team members.
• Oversees staffing, schedules, and resource allocation to optimize throughput and prevent complications.
• Monitors care outcomes, compliance, and staff performance, implementing improvement strategies as needed.
• Leads daily unit operations, maintains safety standards, fosters teamwork, and ensures quality patient care.
• Initiates staff development, manages schedules, and supports emergency preparedness.
• Performs other related duties to support organizational goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master’s preferred.
• Must hold RN licensure and BLS certification.
• Experience in acute care, leadership, and team management preferred.
