RN Manager - L&D, Mother-Baby

Role Overview

Creates a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment by supervising nursing and ancillary staff, ensuring high-quality care, and promoting functional independence. Collaborates with healthcare teams to optimize clinical operations, patient safety, and satisfaction. Provides leadership in staffing, coaching, and evaluating team members while fostering open communication and a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervises daily unit activities, schedules staff, and manages personnel needs.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and quality care goals.
• Maintains effective communication with physicians, staff, patients, and families.
• Marks outs outcomes, investigates issues, and implements improvement strategies.
• Assesses staffing requirements, manages overtime, and facilitates patient throughput.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing required; Master's preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the practice state required.
• Minimum of five years' clinical experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Certifications: BLS required; NRP or ARC-NALS required; specialty or admin certifications preferred.
