About the Role
Creates a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment by overseeing nursing and ancillary staff on a designated unit.
Responsibilities
- Leading daily operations, coordinating patient care, and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Supervising staff recruitment, retention, performance evaluations, and educational needs.
- Promoting a culture of safety, communication, and continuous improvement in patient satisfaction.
- Monitoring compliance with regulations, conducting rounds, and resolving operational issues.
- Managing staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure optimal patient throughput.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and revise care plans.
- Ensuring safety protocols, infection prevention, and emergency preparedness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master’s preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
- Minimum of five years' clinical experience; leadership experience preferred.
- Certifications in BLS required; additional certifications like NRP or ARC-NALS preferred.
Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to assess personnel needs, use independent judgment, and foster team development.
