Pay Range: It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case and on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity.

What You’ll Get To Do In This Role

• Provides leadership to clinical staff from all households on specific areas of clinical accountability, such as infection control, safety, wound management, RAI process, or other areas determined by the director of nursing.
• Guides the implementation of clinical policies and procedures which ensure safe, sanitary, and efficient practices supporting professional nursing care standards; assures that documentation, medication administration, resident nursing care, safety and sanitation, personal and staff development, RAI process, and MDS assessments as assigned, quality care, resident rights are in compliance with facility/government standards.
• Maintains a professional, working relationship with physicians and other medical professionals, other departments within LifeCare, and other retail providers.
• Fosters collaboration, consensus, and negotiation to address problem solving in the household, assures that all clinical policies and procedures of the household are maintained, interprets and communicates same to all in the household as needed, with emphasis on resident and/or resident representative.
• Dementia Sensitivity: able to demonstrate and nurture care practices for persons with dementia that meet needs while promoting individualized person-center care and sense of well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum of 3 years experience in skilled nursing preferred
• Specialized training or experience in geriatric nursing preferred
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Commitment to provide person centered care
• Knowledge of federal & state regulations governing clinical care, nursing practice, and leadership
