About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. Collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge, using appropriate age and population-specific standards. Cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Responsible for care coordination, resident assessment, education, and various nursing interventions. May serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel based on job descriptions, skills, resident needs, and delegate competence. Provides support to ensure safe, reliable care and resolution of concerns. Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the state Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules. Adheres to the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses as published by the American Nurses Association.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process for individualized resident care.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to plan and evaluate care.
  • Demonstrate competency in nursing expertise and apply age/population-specific standards.
  • Provide care across preventative, maintenance, diagnostic, and treatment phases.
  • Coordinate care, assess residents, and provide education and nursing interventions.
  • Serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to assistive personnel as appropriate.
  • Ensure safe, reliable care and address care/service concerns.
  • Adhere to state nursing practice standards and professional codes of ethics.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA) preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
  • Unencumbered RN license in the state of practice or multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Pay

Salary range: $29.00 – $48.00 per hour.

Schedule

  • Part-time position.
  • Day shift.
  • Weekly hours: 24.00.
