LPN / Licensed Practical Nurse - Part Time Days

About the role

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) providing professional nursing care in a long-term care setting, under supervision of registered nurses, advanced practice providers, or physicians.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents
• Administer medications and treatments
• Ensure safety and comfort
• Document care activities
• Support interdisciplinary team collaboration
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers, maintaining confidentiality and providing education on self-care and prevention strategies

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• Unencumbered LPN license
• Preferred associate degree
• Specific training in IV therapy where applicable
• Clinical experience or equivalent hours as an LPN
• Maintain required certifications, competencies, and continuing education

Skills

• Knowledge of nursing principles, resident assessment, medication administration, emergency response, and effective communication
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and develop resident-centered care plans
