About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care to residents in long-term care settings, under supervision. Must pass drug screening and background check. This role emphasizes quality care, resident safety, and team collaboration in a faith-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess residents’ health, administer medications, and perform treatments as ordered.
- Document resident interactions, care outcomes, and behavior.
- Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively in emergent situations.
- Contribute to resident education, develop self-care programs, and counsel residents and families on prevention and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, maintain confidentiality, and support healthcare professionals as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program; associate degree preferred.
- Hold an unencumbered LPN license with multi-state privileges.
- Possess IV therapy skills if required, with relevant coursework or experience.
- Complete annual continuing education and maintain required competencies.
