LPN / Licensed Practical Nurse - Part Time Days

About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides skilled nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, under the supervision of registered nurses, advanced practice providers, or physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Assess residents' health status and develop care plans based on clinical standards.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and perform testing to evaluate resident conditions.
  • Ensure residents' safety, comfort, and well-being by responding effectively to emergent situations.
  • Document interactions, care outcomes, medication administration, and behavioral observations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members and communicate clearly while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Counsel residents and families on prevention and treatment strategies.
  • Participate in resident education and support self-care programs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with departmental standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program; associate degree preferred.
  • Current, unencumbered LPN license with multi-state privileges.
  • Experience or clinical hours across diverse populations; IV therapy skills may be required depending on state regulations.
