Duties and Responsibilities
- Works with the call center answering phones, triaging calls, and taking and returning messages per provider’s instructions.
- Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participates in quality improvement and utilization review activities.
- Calls in medications to the pharmacy.
- Collaborates with others in providing inservice education as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Must possess current state LPN license and CPR certification.
- Minimum of two to four years Pediatric experience.
- Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies.
- Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline.
- Strong charting/documentation skills.
- Able to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Versatile, flexible, and willing to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Education and Experience Qualifications for LPN
- Successful completion of a Practical or Vocational Nursing Program required.
- Clear and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in the state of practice required.
- Active CPR Certification.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in Triage.
