About the role
Lakewood Health System is a comprehensive rural healthcare system in central Minnesota. Lakewood Care Center is an 87-bed, Medicare certified skilled long-term care facility recognized by Nursing Home Compare as one of the best nursing homes in Minnesota based on survey results involving nursing staff, health inspections and quality measures. The Long-Term Care RN will provide quality, personalized care for residents through implementing their plan of care with compassion, quality and integrity.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervising and providing leadership to frontline staff
- Manage day-to-day operations of the unit
- Dispense medication
- Complete treatments
- Communicate information regarding resident needs through written and verbal communication to appropriate staff members
- Observe proper infection control and safety procedures
- Respond positively to feedback (questions, suggestions, problems) from residents, guests, family members and fellow staff
Qualifications
- Current MN RN licensure
- Strong leadership skills to lead the team
- Welcomes feedback from guests, residents and fellow staff
- Prioritizes patient safety by paying close attention to detail when dispensing medications and completing treatments

Pay
Starting pay of $35.00/hr for Care Center RNs does not include additional compensation available through: Shift differential and additional pay for Charge Nurse responsibilities Competitive shift differential (PM/NOC), shift pick-up, overtime
Schedule
This is a full-time position working 2:00pm-10:30pm with every 3rd weekend and some holidays.
