About the role
We are seeking a qualified Long Term Care RN for a travel assignment in a facility in George, Iowa.
Responsibilities
- Assessing patient health and monitoring for changes
- Developing and updating personalized care plans
- Administering medications and treatments accurately
- Providing skilled procedures such as wound care and IV therapy
- Supervising LPNs and CNAs, delegating tasks appropriately
- Educating residents and families on care management
- Documenting care, resident progress, and health changes
- Responding to emergencies and coordinating with healthcare teams
- Ensuring compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- At least one year of recent RN experience in long-term care
- Valid RN license per state regulations
- Current BLS or CPR certification
Skills
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients
- Effective teamwork and professionalism
- Ability to work under pressure and manage irregular schedules
- Excellent visual and communication skills
