Long Term Care RN responsible for providing skilled nursing care in a facility setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess resident health
- Develop and implement care plans
- Administer medications and treatments
- Supervise nursing staff
- Educate residents and families
- Document care
- Respond to emergencies
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality, resident-centered care while adhering to safety and regulatory standards
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum one year of recent LTC RN experience
- Valid RN license
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Critical thinking
- Excellent communication
- Physical ability to perform tasks
- Ability to work under pressure
- Preferred certifications include ACLS
Key Duties
- Monitor patient condition
- Perform skilled procedures (wound care, IV therapy, etc.)
- Delegate tasks
- Ensure compliance with policies
- Maintain thorough documentation
