Position: RN - Labor and Delivery - Per Diem Location: Arlington Heights, IL Summary: Provides comprehensive nursing care in labor and delivery, including patient assessment, developing care plans, and ensuring safe, effective interventions. Communicates clearly with patients, families, and healthcare teams, tailoring education to individual needs. Participates in quality improvement initiatives and maintains current knowledge of nursing standards, laws, and regulations. Qualifications Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited nursing programCurrent Illinois nursing licenseCPR certification from the American Heart Association Key Responsibilities Assess patients and gather health data involving patients, families, and providersCoordinate patient care to ensure interventions are appropriate and timelyEffectively communicate with all stakeholders in person, on the phone, and in writingIndividualize patient and family education based on assessmentsParticipate in quality and safety initiativesStay updated on current nursing practices, laws, and regulations Skills & Attributes: Strong communication, critical thinking, patient education, teamwork, and adherence to standards.
