RN - IPU Per Diem (7p-7a)

Salary: $44 per hour on weekday nights, $48 per hour on weekend nights (7p-7a per diem shift).

About the role

A compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) is needed for the Hospice Nurse opportunity. As a Hospice Nurse, you will oversee the quality, expert care of assigned hospice patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family educational needs and provide appropriate education.
• Apply nursing principles and techniques in the treatment of patients, providing nursing care, emotional support, and education to patient and family.
• Initiate interdisciplinary plan of care to address patient and family care (PFC) needs.
• Provide safe and appropriate patient care in accordance with protocols, policies, procedures, and physician orders.
• Manage medications according to standards.
• Respond appropriately in emergency situations.
• Implement, evaluate, and revise the plan of care and direct others in its implementation.
• Provide or facilitate the provision of emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families.
• Participate in the orientation of new employees.
• Provide supervision of all Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) and volunteers.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
• New Jersey RN license required; BSN preferred.
• IV and Medical Surgical experience required.
• Hospice experience preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.
