Department: Infusion Therapy

About the role

This individual is responsible for patient preparation, assisting the physician with procedures and minor surgeries, performing various diagnostic tests, and providing patient education in the clinic. Maintains equipment and acts as liaison between the physician and all outside agencies—including hospitals, nursing homes, DME companies, pharmacies, HMOs, other physician offices, and patients. Supports other medical staff members as necessary to maintain patient flow.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for procedures and minor surgeries
  • Assist the physician with procedures and minor surgeries
  • Perform various diagnostic tests
  • Provide patient education in the clinic
  • Maintain clinic equipment
  • Act as liaison between the physician and outside agencies (hospitals, nursing homes, DME companies, pharmacies, HMOs, other physician offices, and patients)
  • Support other medical staff to maintain patient flow

Requirements

  • Current RN license in good standing (either AR license or multi-state license to include AR)
  • Required CPR certification
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (if working in the lab)
  • Previous clinical experience preferred
  • Chemo certification required within 6 months of hire date

Schedule

Day shift, 80 hours per pay period (bi-weekly).
