About the role
The RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician provides specialized outpatient infusion care, primarily administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies for malignant and nonmalignant conditions.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments
- Deliver patient-centered and culturally aware care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Support evidence-based practices
- Serve as a resource for staff and mentor new nurses
- Contribute to performance improvement initiatives
- Participate in staff education, protocol development, and research activities
- Adhere to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies
- Administer hazardous drugs and ensure safe, effective patient care
- Document accurately and participate in team and quality improvement activities
- Support resource management
- May involve local travel and floating between sites
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience
- Current RN licensure
- BLS certification
- Chemotherapy competency (preferred)
