About the Role: The Infection Control Nurse assists the Director of Nursing (DON) in providing, planning, coordinating, and managing nursing care, nursing services, and health education to residents and patients at Ridgeway Rehab Center, a beautiful 61-bed skilled nursing facility located in Catonsville, Maryland. Responsibilities: Assist the Director of Nursing in providing, planning, coordinating, and managing nursing care, nursing services, and health education to residents and patientsDesire and ability to effectively train and educate all nursing associates and other associates as applicablePlan, develop, direct, conduct, evaluate, and coordinate staff training, education, in-service, and orientationIdentify, control, and prevent outbreaks of infections in the facilityCollects and analyzes infection control data to monitor infectious outbreaks in the facility and surrounding communityDevelops, implements, and maintains ongoing training and educational programs for all facility personnel in relation to infection control topicsActs as an infection control educational resource for employees, community members, guests, and their familiesEnsure facility compliance with federal, state, and local infection control standards Essential Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) License in MD or MultistateCertified as an Infection Control PreventionistUnit manager/Nurse Management Experience PreferredLTC/SNF Experience FANTASTIC PAY AND BENEFITS!!
