As a 170-bed acute care hospital, Sierra Medical Center provides services including 24/7 ER care, cardiology, oncology, labor and delivery, level II NICU, surgical and orthopedic services, and more.

This part-time ICU Registered Nurse opportunity offers a convenient, flexible day shift schedule. The role involves providing safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy, while supporting the healthcare team with professional leadership. Responsibilities

• Involve the patient and family in care assessment, addressing psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population-specific, and diversity needs.
• Construct and implement the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill.
• Integrate direct and indirect patient care activities related to diagnosis and co-morbidities.
• Coordinate the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients.
• Develop goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans tailored to individual patient and family needs.
• Complete hourly rounds with purpose to strengthen nurse communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs (e.g., pain management, repositioning, toileting).
• Proactively evaluate the environment to ensure it is patient-friendly and safe.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current ACLS and BLS certificates.
• Preferred: One year of full-time or three years of part-time experience in an acute care setting.
• Handle with Care certification (or obtained within six months of employment).
