About the role
This high-energy 32-bed unit is in the critical care service line, serving patients transitioning out of Intensive Care and/or patients requiring a higher level of care. Our higher acuity population is primarily comprised of neurological, medical, and surgical patients. With our neurological specialty, we are a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center program.
Position is full time, 36 hours per week, night shift at Mercy Hospital - W Memorial Rd ICU Step Down. Accepting applications for 2026 new graduates.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to patients transitioning from intensive care or requiring a higher level of care
- Serve a higher acuity population, primarily neurological, medical, and surgical patients
- Contribute to a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center program
Requirements
- Nursing Degree from an accredited school (BSN preferred but ADN acceptable)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
