RN, ICU/OHU, 7p-7a
About the role
Audubon’s ICU is a 48-bed unit with 36 ICU beds and 12 CVICU beds, specializing in cardiac care with an emphasis on open heart recovery. This unit is the only Norton facility that is DNV VAD accredited and serves as the ECMO center for Norton Healthcare. It cares for complex, critically ill patients.
A professional nurse in this unit is accountable for the care of a group of patients, focusing on safe, effective patient- and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN assists in maintaining a financially stable unit, promotes personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice, and supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members.
Using the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care, the RN assesses, develops, implements, and evaluates the plan of care, with a focus on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies professional experience to deliver quality care and mentor/precept staff.
