About the role

Audubon’s ICU is a 48-bed unit with 36 ICU beds and 12 CVICU beds, specializing in cardiac care with an emphasis on open heart recovery. This is the only Norton facility accredited by DNV for Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD) and serves as the ECMO center for Norton Healthcare. The unit cares for complex, critically ill patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality outcomes.
• Assist in maintaining a financially stable unit while promoting evidence-based practice and professional development within a Practice Governance framework.
• Supervise licensed and non-licensed staff members.
• Apply the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Focus on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction.
• Deliver high-quality care using your educational and professional experience, and mentor/precept staff.

Qualifications

• No experience required for full-time or part-time positions; one year of RN/LPN experience in an inpatient, acute-care setting required for PRN roles.
• Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Active Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) license.
