Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver compassionate, high-quality care that impacts patients' well-being and recovery. You will assess patients, perform skilled procedures, implement care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, holistic, and effective care plans.
Responsibilities
- Provides effective, comprehensive evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes.
- Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
- Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure a comprehensive plan of care.
- Applies knowledge of current practice standards, guidelines, statutes, rules, and regulations.
- Demonstrates accountability for ethical behavior and supports ethical practice by addressing or escalating issues.
- Serves as a patient advocate.
- Completes patient assessments competently, assessing physical, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, discharge, and cultural needs.
- Develops and implements individualized care plans based on assessment.
- Coordinates with other disciplines when necessary.
- Prioritizes care needs and sets measurable goals and time frames.
- Involves patients and families in the planning process.
- Implements interventions based on nursing and medical plans of care.
- Manages patient populations, diagnoses, and age-specific needs through appropriate adaptations of interventions.
- Uses SBAR to notify physicians and other providers of clinical findings.
- Recognizes limits of scope of practice and seeks multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Interprets and integrates multiple sources of data to make appropriate clinical decisions based on patient needs and desired outcomes.
Required Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
- 1 year ICU acute care experience
- BLS certification - American Heart Association
- ACLS certification - American Heart Association
- Basic or Advanced Dysrythmia Certification
- Crisis Prevention Institute Training (within 90 days from date of hire)
- LA City Fire Safety Training (within 90 days from date of hire)
