Job Summary

The Intensive Care Unit at CHI Health St. Elizabeth is a 16-bed critical care unit that provides a multidisciplinary approach to care for patients with various disease processes. It is a Beacon Award for Excellence – Gold Status recipient from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN).

Responsibilities

• Deliver the highest quality patient care according to the specific orders of each patient’s individual physician.
• Utilize knowledge and skills to educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits.
• Maintain and monitor patients' conditions and assess their needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.
• Administer patients’ medications and provide treatments according to physicians’ orders.
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.

Compensation

• Base rate + shift differential
• Incentives: up to $10,000 sign on bonus, up to $10,000 education assistance (must have graduated within 5 years)
• Tuition Reimbursement - $5,525 for full time and $2,750 for part time

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Specialty certification (ex: PCCN, CCRN, CNOR, CEN) preferred
