Job Summary and Responsibilities

• Affords continuous care and performs procedures as detailed in the care plan
• Assists physicians with chest tubes, central lines, and other treatments
• Provides wound care and administers medications
• Maintains focus and attentiveness during shifts
• Serves as patient advocate, supporting their best interests

Job Requirements

• Graduate of a nursing program
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within five (5) months of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within five (5) months of hire

The ICU at CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 24-bed unit specializing in high acuity care. It provides advanced services including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services.
