RN House Supervisor- Full Time- NIGHTS

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision campus-wide to all staff on a given shift.
• Provides physical assessments of residents.
• Implements resident's treatment plan.
• Evaluates response to treatment.
• Provides complete documentation.
• Administers medications as prescribed.
• Provides health care education for residents and families.
• Performs duties in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, and facility mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years prior clinical experience and recent psychiatric nursing experience required.
• Minimum of 1 year supervisor experience required.
• RN graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensure and registration by the Louisiana Board of Nursing as a registered nurse required.
• CPR certification required.
• Good communication skills; ability to present information and ideas is essential to nursing duties and must maintain effective working relationships interdepartmentally and with the medical staff.
• Must be able to communicate successfully, both orally and written, to a variety of internal and external customers, while maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor.
• Must be able to do business math calculations and to solve problems independently on office operation matters.
• Must have strong organizational skills.
• Must have ability to focus and perform effectively under stress and with multiple priorities.
• Must be able to make sound, independent decisions pertaining to job responsibilities.
