About the role

The House Manager is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management and supervision of patient care areas during his or her assigned tour of duty. He or she acts as the on-site administrator for REH after normal business hours and has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Administrator on Call.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain quality patient care through effective management and supervision of patient care areas during his or her assigned tour of duty.
  • Act as the on-site administrator for REH after normal business hours and has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Administrator on Call.
  • Share responsibility for the evaluation and management of departmental resources.
  • Collaborate to provide crisis management, interpret policy and procedure, and assure timely and effective communication and collaboration between individuals and departments.
  • Represent the organizational leadership across all venues on a 24 hour basis and collaborate to make decisions and act on behalf of the leadership team.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Minnesota RN License
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association
  • Five years of acute care nursing experience
  • One year of leadership experience (charge nurse, supervisory role, manager)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Emergency Department and/or critical care nursing experience
  • Demonstrated interpersonal relationship skills that enhance communication, promote conflict resolution, and facilitate staff mentoring and development
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work in stressful situations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Pay

45-66 Hourly Wage

Schedule

  • .75 FTE
  • 60 hours per two weeks
  • Shifts are 12 hours
  • Every third weekend
  • Every third holiday
