About The Role As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our inpatient hospital setting, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care across various departments. Your primary objective will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust individualized care plans. This role demands a compassionate approach to patient interaction, ensuring comfort and support during treatment and recovery. Ultimately, your work will contribute significantly to the hospital’s mission of providing safe, effective, and patient-centered healthcare services. We are looking for a FT PM Nurse (7PM - 7AM). Minimum Qualifications Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana.Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) - we provide training. Demonstrated clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.Strong understanding of nursing principles, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.Advanced certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation software.Specialized experience in critical care, emergency nursing, or a specific clinical specialty.Strong communication and leadership skills with experience in patient education or mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to identify changes in patient conditions.Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians while adhering to safety protocols.Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed medical records in compliance with hospital policies.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans based on patient needs.Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care.Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in life-saving interventions when necessary.Ensure compliance with infection control standards and hospital regulations to maintain a safe care environment. Skills The required skills enable you to perform thorough patient assessments, administer treatments safely, and maintain accurate documentation, which are essential for effective patient care. Your clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills will be applied daily to recognize patient needs and respond to emergencies promptly. Preferred skills such as proficiency with electronic health records streamline documentation and improve communication within the care team. Advanced certifications and specialized experience enhance your ability to manage complex cases and provide expert care in specialized units. Strong interpersonal and communication skills facilitate collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and support patient and family education, ensuring holistic care delivery.
