About the role

The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations within a specific nursing unit. They utilize the nursing process to guide clinical decisions, ensuring safe, compassionate, and quality care that respects patient rights and autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Interpret diagnostic data to inform clinical decisions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve department performance
• Provide guidance during critical situations
• Evaluate outcomes of nursing interventions
• Participate in clinical leadership activities, including coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience
• Proficiency in computer skills
• Active RN licensure
• BLS certification (must be obtained within 14 days of hire)
